Western University planned a rewrite but first needed the business logic extracted from an existing PowerBuilder application so they could decide the best path forward.
Delivered clear, actionable documentation of business logic that enabled the university to plan a rewrite with confidence and reduced risk during transition.
Teachers Assurance had a broken EAServer PowerBuilder application and their existing support supplier could not fix it. They needed a reliable fix and a path to modernisation.

Legacy PowerBuilder 6 customer account management system with outdated SQL Server and security gaps. Internal support expertise was no longer available and the bank faced operational risk if the system failed.
Delivered on time and on budget. The bank avoided a costly rewrite, removed operational risk, and regained confidence in application support and compliance. In‑house staff were trained for day‑to‑day oversight while Powersoft retained full support responsibility.
The customer was running a multi‑million pound infrastructure upgrade (Oracle and Windows). Legacy PowerBuilder applications were blocking progress. Powersoft stepped in at short notice to remove that blocker, upgrade the PB estate and then deliver a new multi‑channel price management solution.
All work delivered on time and on budget. The immediate project blocker was removed so the infrastructure upgrade could proceed. The new price tracking system monitors cost prices for thousands of SKUs, computes channel sell prices in real time and provides MIS reporting — improving competitiveness and protecting profitability.
The council had a large PowerBuilder estate supporting property and asset management, maintenance and planning. With limited in‑house PB resources they felt vulnerable and needed assurance, additional development capacity and a plan to mitigate operational risk.
All engagements delivered on time and on budget. The council's operational risk was significantly reduced and their internal PowerBuilder capability was materially supplemented by Powersoft resources, enabling continued development and stable operations.
